Special education for mainstream schools
Special education and inclusive classrooms are important. If you teach in a mainstream school, it is likely that you need to support a child with learning difficulties and disabilities. Some children already have a diagnosis but many don’t. As a teacher, if you are not armed with the right tools, you won’t have any success with these kids.
This course will get you started on basic special education and how you can create an inclusive classroom that benefits learners with learning difficulties and disabilities as well as your whole class.
This course will help all teachers from mainstream private and public schools.
The course covers an introduction to the concepts of learning difficulties and disabilities and various strategies for supporting learning.

Classroom strategies for supporting children with cerebral palsy and a practical exercise on universal design for learning.

Classroom strategies for supporting children with other learning difficulties and disabilities including autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia.
